Final quotas allocated for World Games following continental qualifiers

The full list of quota places heading to the Chengdu 2025 World Games is now complete, following the allocation of the final compound spots through recent continental tournaments in Asia, Oceania and Africa, and via the world ranking list.
The 2025 Asia Cup in Bangkok, Thailand, held from 16-23 February, was the first of this year’s qualifiers. Korea, Kazakhstan and Iran claimed the women’s spots, while the men’s places went to India, Korea and Malaysia.
The Oceania qualifier followed on 15-16 March in Auckland, where Australia secured three of the four available places – two in the women’s event and one in the men’s. The final men’s quota went to the host nation, New Zealand.
The African qualifier wrapped things up from 4-6 April in Johannesburg, South Africa. The host nation took both men’s places, while Namibia topped the women’s event ahead of another South African archer.
With the continental events concluded, 20 remaining quotas – 10 per gender – were awarded to the highest-ranked compound archers not yet qualified, based on the Sanlida World Ranking lists as of 7 April 2025.
The qualification period began in May 2024 and spanned nearly a year. Archery at the World Games in Chengdu will feature two disciplines: target (compound) and field (recurve and barebow), with just 100 archers set to compete – 52 in target and 48 in field. Seven gold medals will be awarded, including six individual titles and one compound mixed team title.
The Chengdu 2025 World Games will take place from 7-17 August in China.
