Vacancy: education and development manager at World Archery
World Archery has opened a position for an education and development manager to join the staff of the World Archery Excellence Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland on a full-time basis from the end of 2019.
The role will work on development strategy, partnership negotiations and supervise programme implementation with the development coordinator.
Other tasks will relate to member association strategic development and management, archery education projects with the coaching committee, coordination of coach training and course conductor training.
The new manager will also oversee the implementation of the new education strategy and certification programme, working with the director of the World Archery Excellence Centre.
The successful applicant will have active knowledge of both recurve and compound archery techniques as a coach at an advanced level and at least five years’ experience as a national coach, team manager or technical director. Experience working in multiple countries, cultures or languages and with para archery or other bow types would be beneficial.
Persons with professional fluency, both writing and speaking, in English and one other language, preferably French, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Korean or German, are invited to apply. The role will be expected to travel internationally.
The job will start at manager level but it is intended that the successful applicant would progress to become head of World Archery’s development and education department after the retirement of the current director in 2020.
