So Chaewon wins Antalya stage Prize for Precision

Korea’s So Chaewon was awarded the Prize for Precision at the second stage of the 2018 Hyundai Archery World Cup in Antalya, Turkey. Chaewon shot 113 total 10s through qualification and third-round-plus matchplay, the most of any of the compound women.

Silver medallist Paige Pearce Gore came a close second with 110 10s.

Stage winner Yesim Bostan of Turkey was the third and last compound woman to top 100 10s at the tournament, with 103.

Chaewon won individual bronze at each of the first two stages of the international circuit, putting her second in the Hyundai Archery World Cup rankings on points. 

The Korean compound team is not expected to shoot at any other leg this season.

The Longines Prize for Precision is an annual competition split into two parts.

The most accurate archer, measured by the number of 10s shot in tournament, in one division at each of the four stages is awarded a stage prize. The Shanghai award was for compound men; Antalya was for compound women, Salt Lake City for recurve men and Berlin for recurve women.

The most accurate archers in one of the two divisions, recurve or compound alternating each year, over the whole season receive awards at the Hyundai Archery World Cup Final. 

The 2018 awards are for recurve archers. Kim Woojin (179) and Chang Hye Jin (131) lead the lists after two stages.

The second stage of the Hyundai Archery World Cup took place in Antalya, Turkey on 20-26 May.
