All 128 quotas awarded for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games

The USA celebrates qualifying a recurve women’s team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The final qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games is now complete, the four universality invitations have been issued and all 128 quota places for the archery competitions in Japan have been distributed.

Fifty-one nations have qualified.

Countries now have to confirm they accept their places, by Friday 2 July, and then pick which athletes will fill them at the Games.

Everyone who competes at the Olympics must hit a minimum standard, which is a single qualifying score of 605 points for women and 640 points for men. Two qualified countries – Chad (man) and Cote d’Ivoire (woman) – have not yet hit the standard. Archers have until the end of this week to achieve the required scores.

Should any places be returned, they will be reassigned to eligible countries according to the world ranking list, which will be published, after the Hyundai Archery World Cup stage in Paris, on Monday 28 June.

The Olympics start in exactly one month.
