Thai archery association celebrates 50-year anniversary
The National Archery Association of Thailand celebrated its 50th anniversary this year, having been founded in 1970. The organisation joined World Archery in 1971.
A ceremony was held at the national training field in the Sports Authority of Thailand complex during the morning of Thursday 12 November. International Olympic Committee member Lady Patama Leeswadtrakul and Thai Olympic Committee secretary general Major General Charouck Arirachakaran were among the guests of honour.
Responsible for regulating and promoting the sport in Thailand, the federation is based at Rajamangala national stadium in Bangkok.
Thai archery association president Sanguan Kosavinta is also a vice president of World Archery Asia and a vice president of World Archery.
