Susanne Womersley reelected president of World Archery Oceania at remote congress
Susanne Womersley, from Australia, has been reelected to serve a second four-year term as president of World Archery Oceania. The continental federation’s congress, which was originally scheduled to take place in Fiji earlier in April, was held via online conference call on 19 April.
George Fong was elected as treasurer during the meeting.
He joins Womersley, vice president Catherine Gougeon and secretary general Patsy Vercoe on the World Archery Oceania’s executive committee.
Delegates attending the congress established a vision to have archery recognised as an important recreational and competitive sport throughout the continent.
The returning president also committed to developing a strategic plan and growing partnerships with National Olympic Committees and business.
World Archery Oceania is the continental federation for archery in Oceania. It represents 12 national member associations.
