Italy renews partnership with broadcaster Rai Sport

The two international events Italy is scheduled to host this season, together with 10 national tournaments, will be viewable on the Italian sport channel throughout the year. All national events are also scheduled for live streaming on Fitarco’s YouTube channel “YouArco”.

The Youth Cup will take place at Giulio Onesti Olympic Preparation Centre in Rome, on 14-18 July 2015. The Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) and Rome City Council are working hard to find an alternative iconic and historical location as setting for the Youth Cup. This would be also a driver to present Rome as suitable candidate for 2024 Summer Olympics. If the right location is found, Rai Sport has agreed to broadcast live coverage of the whole event, on top of the planned highlights.

After successfully hosting the European Field Archery Championships in 2013, Terni will once again hold an international event at the amazing Marmore Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During the World Archery 3D Championships – from 31 August to 6 September 2015 – a large archery village will be constructed in Terni city centre: shops, restaurants, music and shows will boost the event's visibility. Rai Sport will run an extended event summary in the days immediately after the competition ends.

The Italian sports channel is also considering the possibility for a live (or pre-recorded long summary) broadcast of the World Archery Championships in Copenhagen from 26 July to 2 August this year. In the Danish capital, the Italian team will battle for quota places to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

With the Archery World Cup legs available via livestream on World Archery TV and on Eurosport around the world, Rai decides on a stage-by-stage basis whether to run its own coverage of the events.
