COVID-19 testing during the second stage of the 2021 Hyundai Archery World Cup uncovered no positive cases among athletes, officials and the workforce.

Everybody who attended the event was required to present a negative test on arrival, agreed to random testing throughout the week of the competition and travelling participants took a further test before departure.

In total, more than 650 tests were conducted on-site.

One test returned a positive result. The individual, who was already fully vaccinated, was put into the COVID-19 protocol and subsequently returned multiple negative tests. The initial result was deemed a false positive.

One volunteer returned a positive result at the end of the competition. It is thought not to be related as the individual received the notification to test through Switzerland’s close contact tracking application. Other members of the workforce and athletes who remained at the venue for a training camp have since been retested and all returned negative results.

No positive cases have been reported by teams since leaving Switzerland.
