Deadline imminent for Indoor Archery World Series team registration
Entries for the 2020 Indoor Archery World Series team competition are being accepted until midnight CET on Wednesday 15 January.
The competition combines the individual results of team members in a team ranking. After four stages, the recurve event is led by Lancaster Archery Supply while TRUBall/Axcel is ahead in the compound competition.
International brands Shibuya, Mathews and Beiter also have squads entered. Arc Club de Nîmes, which hosts the fifth event of this Indoor Archery World Series, has a team in the recurve competition.
Registration is open to brands, clubs, national teams and groups of friends.
Among the archers participating are world numbers ones Brady Ellison, Alexis Ruiz and Braden Gellenthien, and world champion Kang Chae Young.
The first four events of the Indoor Archery World Series were worth 250 points to individual winners. The last two are valued at 1000 points, meaning that although the teams that have already competed have an advantage there is still time to enter a squad.
Remaining on the circuit is the Sud de France Nimes Archery Tournament on 17-19 January and The Vegas Shoot on 7-9 February.
Teams consist of three athletes shooting either recurve or compound, must be mixed-gender and cost 240 CHF to enter. World Archery has guaranteed a minimum prize purse of 5000 CHF.
