Superstar Matt POKORA joins list of celebs trying archery

POKORA, a singer and television celebrity, has plans to appear at the upcoming Archery World Cup Final, which will take place at the Trocadero in the French capital on 21-22 September 2013. The Final will feature the world’s top archery talents, who will shoot for medals; the matches of the Final from the quarter-finals on will be broadcast live on ArcheryTV: check the Live Stream Schedule.

“Robin des Bois,” a French adaptation of the popular “Robin Hood” tale, is a major musical comedy production that will premiere later this month in Paris. The musical is expected to run until November in Paris, and then tour elsewhere.

“This morning was training at archery with members of Team France,” tweeted the official Twitter account for the superstar following his archery practice with the French Team. “Thank you for your welcome friends!” Photos from the appearance went viral immediately; this video showcases the new archer’s talents.

Within just a few shots, POKORA’s archery technique appeared to be quickly improving, with a solid anchor point and proper release established. The lessons with the French archery superstars will clearly benefit POKORA as he takes on the role of the world’s best-known archer.

“The show that will move around France agreed to have a stand for ‘Try Archery’ where the show will be performed,” explains Olympic gold medallist and World Archery Events Director Juan-Carlos HOLGADO. “So, each spectator can try archery at the beginning of the show.”
