Archery Canada recruiting for full-time junior national team coach

The recurve men’s team final at the first stage of the 2019 Hyundai Archery World Cup in Medellin, Colombia.

Archery Canada is seeking a full-time recurve coach for its national junior team on a 3 1/2-year contract based in Toronto or South Western Ontario.

The role, which is funded by Sport Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee, will be responsible for talent identification, high-performance coaching and the technical leadership of development programmes linked to the youth squad.

Archery Canada’s objective is to deliver success at youth events and a seamless transition to the senior level, resulting in consistent international and Olympic podiums for the team.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to coach high-performance athletes, be able to implement world-class training programmes and have the the technical knowledge of archery and sports science to effectively develop youth athletes.

Significant national and international travel will be required.

The role will report to the federation’s high-performance advisor.
