Kusuma Wardhani was Olympic silver medallist from Indonesia.

She won Indonesia’s first ever medal at an Olympics, in any sport, along with Lilies Handayani and Nurfitriyana Saiman in the recurve women’s team event at Seoul 1988.

A film about the trio called 3 Heroines was released in 2016.

Wardhani also collected multiple medals at the Asian Championships and South East Asian Games.

After retiring from competition, she continued to work in youth sport and as an archery coach.

Wardhani died on 12 November 2023 at the age of 59.
