Carlos Vaca was a member of Mexico’s youth teams since 2018.

He was a Youth Olympian at Buenos Aires 2018 and won the first Pan American Youth Championships in 2022.

He died on 28 March 2023 at the age of 20, just days after competing in the trials for the national senior team.
