The famous Golden Arrow tournament takes part in the Archery World Cup.

Lausanne - May 23, 2006. One of the biggest archery tournaments in the world gets even bigger. The XIX Golden Arrow Grand Prix Tournament in Antalya, Turkey, is actually the second stage of the 2006 Archery World Cup.

A participation record is expected with more than 300 archers coming from around 50 countries. The top Korean archers will make their debut in the World Cup, and apart from them, all the strong countries will be there: USA, Russia, India, China, Italy, France, Great Britain, Netherlands.

With so many top countries, we are sure to witness a real show with the best archers in the world. With the emphasis of the World Cup, we would like to draw attention to four of many contenders:

Jayanta Talukdar (IND), Recurve Men: winner of the Porec World Cup and of the Bangkok Grand Prix this year. Natalia Nasaridze (TUR), Recurve Women: 4th in Porec and leading archer of the home country.
Emiel Custers (NED), Compound Men: 2nd in Porec and 1st in the 2005 Antalya Grand Prix. Anna Kazantseva-Bogolova (RUS), Compound Women: winner in Porec 2006 and in Antalya 2005 !

How will they fare in the XIX Golden Arrow and World Cup 2006?

The answer will be discovered from June 7th to June 10th on the perfect archery field in Antalya and on live coverage by the TRT television (Turkish national channel) during the finals.
