Olympic style bow given to MCC Museum

Home of Cricket, Lord’s was a fantastic Home of Archery during the Games.

The Marylebone Cricket Club museum's curator, Mr Adam Chadwick, was delighted to accept the bow on behalf of MCC and the MCC museum on Monday 3 September.

The bow is similar to the one used by the Olympic champions and will get a place in the museum with some other memorablia from the Olympic event so people visiting Lord's in the future will find a legacy of the event at this fantastic venue where history was made.

Kevin Chester, one of the many Games makers, who is also an MCC member and is a driver at the Olympics and Paralympics presented one of the arrow quivers that was used to return the arrows after every set.

World Archery thanks Hoyt, Easton, Shibuya and Beiter for providing parts of the bow.
