Lima 2027 quota places updated following South American Games

Four additional quota positions for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games were allocated following the individual archery competitions at the XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026 in Rosario, Argentina.

The qualification process began with the Tlaxcala 2026 Pan American Championships, where team and secondary qualification competitions awarded the first major allocation of positions. The allocation was then updated following the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, where four additional positions were available.

The latest allocations were awarded across all four individual events, with Argentina securing a position in recurve men, Ecuador in recurve women, Brazil in compound men and Venezuela in compound women.

The four new quota places were secured by Akash  Esteban de Jesus Adrian Silva of Argentina in recurve men, Adriana Espinoza de los Monteros of Ecuador in recurve women, Jairo Rodrigo Da Silva of Brazil in compound men and Ana Mendoza of Venezuela in compound women.

Silva was the highest-ranked Argentine in the recurve men’s competition, while Espinoza de los Monteros was Ecuador’s highest-ranked archer in the women’s event. Da Silva reached the compound men’s bronze-medal match, while Mendoza went on to win bronze in the women’s event.

The four new positions bring the total number of allocated quota places for Lima 2027 to 71. These comprise 23 positions in recurve men, 24 in recurve women, 12 in compound men and 12 in compound women.

The allocation list also includes the four country quota places awarded through the 2025 Pan American Junior Games in Asunción.

The remaining quota positions will be allocated at the final continental qualification tournament in San Salvador in 2027.
