Paris 2024 launches pictograms for Olympic and Paralympic Games

The organisers of the next Olympics and Paralympics have released the complete set of pictograms that will be used to identify sports in the lead-up to and during events in Paris.

Archery’s pictogram will be the same for both Games. (This was most recently the case at Athens 2004.)

The pictogram designs for Paris are based on coats of arms, each depicting a specific sporting tool, the playing field and repeating around a central symmetrical axis. In archery’s case, the tool is the bow and arrow and the playing field is the target.

The release of the pictograms was accompanied by a teaser of the look of the Games, which is the branding that will be in place at venues and other official locations during the events.
