Vietnam federation president Hoang Vinh Giang dies at age of 75

The president of the Vietnam archery federation, Hoang Vinh Giang, died on 11 September 2021 at the age of 75.
He had served in the position for 12 years.
Hoang was also secretary general and vice president of the Vietnamese Olympic Committee and had dedicated his life to developing sports, and particularly to the success of archery, within his country.
World Archery secretary general Tom Dielen issued the following statement:
“President Hoang was a devoted servant of sport in a country known to be producing talented athletes for the international stage. His passing leaves a void and our deepest condolences go to his family, members of the federation and the entire archery family in Vietnam.”
