Former Norwegian archery federation president Per Bolstad dies aged 78
Former Norwegian archery federation president and World Archery committee chair Per-Erling Bolstad has died aged 78.
The long-time face of World Archery’s field community served as chair of the discipline’s committee from 1991 to 2001. He was also an international judge and attended many world championships.
Per was chair of the field committee when the matchplay finals round was introduced at the championships in Margraten in 1992.
“Per was a great volunteer and contributor to archery. He had his unique perspective, passion and a great sense of humour. He will be missed,” said World Archery secretary general Tom Dielen.
“On behalf of World Archery, the executive board and entire archery community, our most sincere condolences go to Per’s family and friends.”
