Bid deadline upcoming for world championship events in 2021 and beyond

World Archery has announced 1 May 2019 as the next deadline for major event bids in the calendar years 2021 and beyond.

The federation operates an ongoing application system. When enough hosts submit an expression of interest, bids may be requested for presentation to the executive board for assessment and potential appointment.

Any organisation wishing to host for the following world championships in the period 2021-2024 is encouraged to submit their bid by 1 May.

  • World Archery Championships (2021, 2023)
  • World Archery Youth Championships (2021, 2023)
  • World Archery Para Championships (2021, 2023)
  • World Archery 3D Championships (2021, 2023)
  • World Archery Field Championships (2022, 2024)

Bids are also being considered for future hosts of Hyundai Archery World Cup stages (multi-year), the Hyundai Archery World Cup Final and Indoor Archery World Series stages (multi-year).

Applications are welcome from member associations or event companies. Event profile sheets and application forms are available online.

Bids will be assessed at the upcoming executive board meeting prior to World Archery Congress in June 2019, whereby hosts for some or all of the events may be appointed. Bids for any events not awarded will subsequently be re-opened.
