World Archery Doping Free: Communication of sanctions

The compound archer Daniel Mesquita Martini (BRA) has been sanctioned by the national anti-doping autority ABCD (Autoridade Brasileira Controle de Dopagem), as follows:

• Disqualification of all prizes, points, medals and results obtained since the competition in which the doping control was given, and in any competitions in which the athlete participated after 1 November 2015 until 1 November 2017
• 2 years suspension starting on 1 November 2015

Anti-doping rule violated according to the World Anti-Doping Code, Art. 2.1: Presence of the prohibited substance Anastrozole (S4. Hormones and Metabolic Modulators) in the athlete’s sample.
