Vote for Lopez as IWGA Athlete of the Year 2015
In 2015, Sara Lopez cemented her reputation as the best compound woman in the world. She won the Archery World Cup Final for a second time in a row and shot the highest 1440 round in history, among five senior world records for the year.
The 20-year-old athlete was part of the Colombian compound team which won bronze at The World Games 2013 in her home country.
Eighteen candidates have been shortlisted for the IWGA Athlete of the Year 2015, among which Sara. The public can cast their vote until 31 January. The winner will be announced on 1 February 2016. A trophy will be awarded in cooperation with the winner’s federation.
It is the third time that the IWGA has staged a vote for the Athlete of the Year. The shortlist comprises the candidates nominated by their international federations.
