Passing of Honorary Judge Guillermo FONT OLIVER
Lausanne – 24 May 2012
World Archery was informed of the passing on 22 May 2012 of its Honorary Judge Guillermo FONT OLIVER, who had fought against illness for several years. He was the father of Sergio FONT MILIAN, International Judge and World Archery statistician.
Guillermo FONT OLIVER was a hardworking volunteer who dedicated more than 40 years of his life to archery in Cuba and World Archery. He was an International Judge from 1982 to 2003, and officiated at two World Championships (Lausanne 1989 and World Junior in Merida 2006), two World Cups (San Salvador 2006 and Santo Domingo 2008), and several international events in the Americas.
World Archery sends its sincere condolences to Sergio FONT and his entire family. The Cuban and world sports community has lost a great volunteer.
