Registration opens for 2019-2020 Indoor Archery World Series team competition
The team competition is set to return to the Indoor Archery World Series for the 2019-2020 season with entries now open to three-athlete teams representing clubs, companies, national federations and scratch names.
Team Hoyt, represented by Brady Ellison, Zach Garrett and Casey Kaufhold, won the first recurve team trophy last season. Braden Gellenthien, Paul Tedford and Stephan Hansen – shooting as Team Group Chat – finished first in the compound rankings.
The team competition is an opportunity for brands and organisations to gain additional exposure for their elite athletes.
Archers in a team do not shoot any additional arrows at each tournament. Instead, the elite ranking points they accrue in the individual competitions are combined to give a team result. (Not all members of the team must compete at each event.)
A team’s best three results across the season are used in the team rankings.
Again, for the 2019-2020 season, there will be both recurve and compound team events. The three-athlete teams must be mixed and include at least one man and one woman. (The third athlete can be either gender.)
Entry costs 240 CHF per team for the season and 100% of the entry fees collected will be paid back in prize money after the last event in Las Vegas. A minimum prize purse of 5000 CHF is guaranteed by World Archery.
The 2019-2020 Indoor Archery World Series includes stages in Macau, Luxembourg, Rome, Sydney, Nimes and Las Vegas.
Register a team for the Indoor Archery World Series using the team nomination form. Team registration is handled directly by World Archery and is independent of entering any tournament. (Athletes must still enter the stages separately.)
Registrations will be accepted until the Nimes Archery Tournament on 17-19 January 2020 in France.
