Danage continues to support World Archery’s global development initiatives
Danage of Scandanavia was founded 1984 by Anna-Grete and Erik Kornbek. Erik, an archer and engineer, began to develop a modular foam boss in the 1960s, and founded Danage to launch the Domino target.
The popular target is now used around the world at events ranging in level from club tournaments to international, including the Olympic Games in 2004 and 2008.
The company has contributed to the growth of archery and its events, producing widely-used instant and manual scoring systems and, more recently, contributing target bosses to the hosts of the Indoor Archery World Cup stage in Marrakesh through World Archery’s equipment partner programme.
Danage will continue to support World Archery as an associate and equipment provider through 2016.
As part of the agreement, Danage receives the right to use World Archery’s logo, and a combined World Archery and Danage logo, in its promotions, access to World Archery media catalogues, event branding, and promotion through World Archery publications.
World Archery Secretary General Tom Dielen said: “Danage is a well-known name in archery and the company’s contribution to raising the level of archery events around the world has been critical to the sport’s growth. We’re happy that this cooperation will continue.”
Danage of Scandanavia Owner Erik Kornbek said: “We’re proud to support World Archery in its mission to promote archery. Danage was born from an idea to improve equipment within the sport, and to this day we aim to improve archery wherever we can.”
