Autumn 2015 judging seminar in Rio announced
While the official test event for the Rio 2016 Olympics gets underway in the Games’ venue in September 2015, international judge candidates and continental judges will attend a seminar in Marica’s Archery Training Centre – Brazil’s high performance archery facility in Rio de Janeiro. World Archery Judge Committee members Sergio Font and Dion Buhagiar will lead the seminar.
Continental judge candidates will be able to sit the exam required for full certification, provided they have been judging nationally for at least two years, have the support of their national archery federation and have completed and submitted the relevant application form by 15 August 2015. The seminar will be conducted in English only, but applicants may compete the exam in either English or Spanish.
International judge candidates will be able to sit the exam required for full certification, provided they have been continental judges for at least two years and have officiated at least one world ranking event, and have completed and submitted the relevant application form, signed by their national federation and World Archery Americas, by 15 August 2015. Candidates from other continental regions must have their form signed by their respective continental association. The seminar will be conducted in English only and the test must be taken in English. There will be no test in Spanish for international candidate certification.

- Single room with breakfast: R$ 120.00/night
- Double room with breakfast: R$ 87.50 per person/night
Hotel in Rio de Janeiro: Ibis, Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont
- Single room with breakfast: R$ 252.00/night
- Double room with breakfast: R$ 200.00 per person/night
Lunch and dinner will be served at the seminar venue for a cost of R$ 70 per person/day. There will be no lunch and dinner service at the hotels.
Participants staying at the Ibis Hotel in Rio will need to cover the costs of transportation to and from the hotel to the seminar venue for a cost of R$ 260.00 per person.
