World Archery conditionally lifts suspension of Polish federation
World Archery has lifted its suspension of the Polish Archery Federation, subject to the delivery of documentation related to recent elections, to ensure athletes’ preparations for the upcoming World Archery Championships are not harmed.
The action was approved by the Executive Board and effective as of 21 February 2019.
The conditions for reinstatement include the provision of a list detailing club membership fees and receipts for fee payment by 1 April 2019.
World Archery also requested confirmation that the Polish ministry for sport and tourism had accepted the outcome of the general assembly in December 2018 and an invitation to the next general assembly held in Poland.
Failure to comply with the conditions may lead to future sanctions.
The situation in Poland will continue to be monitored, especially regarding a protest from six regional associations lodged with the Polish sports ministry on 12 February 2019.
A letter informing the Polish federation of the decision is attached.
