Serbia Brings on Para Archery Federation

Alongside the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Academy, the Agitos Foundation recently delivered a two-year initiative called Organisational Capacity Programme (OCP) that aimed to give National Paralympic Committees training opportunities to deliver workshops and improve para sport in their own countries.

Through this scheme, the Serbian National Paralympic Committee developed national federations within sports already practised within the nation. A new para swimming association was formed, while the NPC worked with the national archery association to arrange international classification for 16 para archery athletes.

Both the development of swimming and para archery in Serbia are closely related to an increase in participation in para alpine skiing through ongoing training camps. This project is supported by the Grant Support Programme, another Agitos Foundation project which aims to develop para-sport globally.
