World Archery extends Eurosport partnership through Tokyo 2020

  • Four-year agreement to provide comprehensive coverage of major international competitions through the next Olympics in Tokyo
  • Continuation of a successful partnership that has been in place since 2014
  • The new Home of the Olympics in Europe will tell the key archery stories all year round

The Pan-European partnership will once again see Eurosport broadcast all Hyundai Archery World Cup events, including the Hyundai Archery World Cup Final, and Hyundai World Archery Championships, across traditional and digital platforms, and marks a continuation of the successful collaboration that has been in place since 2014.

Broadcast coverage will include every major event in the lead up to the next Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, plus comprehensive highlights shows on all Eurosport screens, including Eurosport Player – Eurosport’s live and on-demand online subscription service – and in the AsiaPacific region via the Eurosport 1 channel.

In addition, Eurosport will work closely with World Archery to promote the sport and help activate the governing body’s commercial partnerships through a dedicated promotional platform, comprising both broadcast and digital activations.

Eurosport already dedicates over half of its schedule to Olympic sports and this agreement further strengthens our portfolio as we start our journey towards the next Summer Games in Tokyo.”

The first event to be broadcast under the new deal will be the first stage of the 2017 Hyundai Archery World Cup in Shanghai, China this May.
